In 1858 the company was founded by MARTIN DOLLHÄUBL.
From 1862, his stepson GEORG ENGLMAYER continued the business - it was from him that the company received the name it still uses today.
In 1872, the business premises at Bahnhofstrasse 13 were built, which was to remain the company's headquarters for the next 100 years.

1880 - 1900
In 1881, a cartage contract was signed with Kaiserin Elisabeth Westbahn.
In 1882, the company was appointed as an officially authorized customs agent, which had a decisive influence on the further development of the company.
Between 1895 and 1907 the company was owned by the family C. & L.EYSN. Historical documents from this period are for example an invoice to the Prince of Parma, Lichtenegg Castle or a photo of a furniture transport with patent furniture wagon in combined transport.

In 1904, the business premises at Rablstrasse 2 were added to the existing company building at Bahnhofstrasse 13.
1907 Purchase of the company G.Englmayer by Franz Wiesinger from Bad Ischl.
1909 Construction of the "Public Warehouse F. Wiesinger".
1915 largest business volume with 24 horses (1966 last horse sold).
1930 Construction of the house Bahnhofstrasse 13 a.

1940 - 1980
In 1944, the house at Bahnhofstrasse 13 and 13a is bombed during an air raid on Wels .
1953 Karl Wiesinger becomes managing partner and specializes, among other things, in the customs business.
1963 - 76 Construction of the approx. 4,000 m² bonded warehouse in Wels-Lichtenegg (sold in 1998).
1979 Takeover of the management by Dkfm. Heinz Wiesinger

1981 Relocation to the new forwarding facility Wiesenstraße 51.
1991 Expansion of the facilities to include a high-bay and hazardous goods warehouse.
1993 Foundation of the company EES Speditions GmbH (Austrian night express).
1994 Foundation of Englmayer Hungaria Kft. Veszprem Hungary.
1995 Opening of the Vienna branch (1998 - 2000 Wiener Neudorf), since December 2000 in the new building Leopoldsdorf bei Wien.
1998 ISO 9002 certification.
1999 Andreas Gaber and Helmut Walter are appointed to the management board.

2002 New branch opened in St.Michael.
2003 Three new subsidiaries are opened in Slovenia, Croatia and Romania.
2003 Opening of the branch in Biatorbágy (Hungary).
2003 The company is certified according to ISO 9001 as well as ISO 14001.
2004 New subsidiary opened in the Czech Republic.
2005 Relocation of the St. Michael site to Graz.
2006 New subsidiary opened in Slovakia.

2008 G. Englmayer celebrates its 150th anniversary
2009 Foundation of the Prague branch
2009 Mr. Andreas Gaber is appointed sole managing director (CEO) of the G. Englmayer Group
2009 The G. Englmayer group of companies obtains the status of AEO and is now one of the few forwarding companies in Austria in possession of the comprehensive F ( Full ) certificate.
